Orientation to Floortime™ is a three session workshop for parents. It provides an overview and introduction to the DIRFloortime® approach to intervention for children with autism and other developmental challenges. This class is appropriate for families who are considering entering a DIRFloortime® program, those who have recently started a DIRFloortime® program or those who desire more information at any time while their child is receiving DIRFloortime® services.
Floortime™ is an evidence-based method utilizing parent mediated intervention to benefit children with developmental challenges. Parents are the most important people in a child’s life, and their relationship with their child is the key to a child’s development. This orientation class will help parents to understand this approach and their role in supporting development with their child.
Classes are taught by Brandt Chamberlain, PhD, take place monthly and are limited to 6 families. The cost is $210 per family.The program is vendored (#PD3198) by the regional center or families may pay privately or use self-determination funds. Parents must attend all 3 classes.
